Show Time!

22nd August 2017

Come rain or shine nothing will stop us Norfolk Folk celebrating local summer fayres! This summer The Feed have attended an array of local Norfolk Events where the most common theme has been great tasting locally produced food. It’s true to say we have enjoyed every one even The Royal Norfolk Show where we donned our wellie boots and almost swam out of the food hall!

The Royal Norfolk Show is the largest UK’s two day country show, despite the torrential down pour on day one the show saw thousands of people enjoy over 700 hundred trade stands and attractions to suit the whole family! With over 70 local food producers in the Adnams Sponsored Food and Drink Hall this really was a foodie lover’s heaven! From cheese to chorizo, whisky to wine and sweets to salad there was food to suit every ones taste buds! We provided three delicious dips that were free for people to dip their Kettle Chips into, needless to say we probably don’t want to see another pot of salsa for a while!! Kettle Chips sold their sharing bags and had a huge variety of flavours, from the very popular sea salt and balsamic vinegar to the slightly more whacky salted caramel and double cream! We can’t wait to attend again next year but will be crossing our fingers for dryer weather!

The much loved Norwich Lanes Fayre returned to the popular streets of Norwich this summer and we were delighted to have to cover ourselves in sun cream on this extremely hot day! This very popular part of the City became bustling with people out to enjoy local stalls, music, great food and just a fabulous atmosphere. From face painting and glitter bars to local artists showcasing their work, there was something for everyone! The Feed teamed up with Kettle Chips selling bottles of water and chips, which were a huge hit especially as so many people were heading to the parks to enjoy a summer’s picnic! The Feed and Kettle Foods look forward to returning next year with even more variety of food to sell!

We had another fortunate day weather wise when celebrating Clapham and Collinge’s annual summer networking and fundraising event in support of Break Charity. The event Lunch on the Green was packed with local business’s exhibiting across all sectors, many offering special deals and of course freebies! From cocktail making to giant jenga and selfies galore the afternoon was a great opportunity for some fun, informal networking and again all held outside! The Feed and Kettle Foods gave people the chance to win prizes from the Feeds Market Stall and of course Kettle Chips were provided in every goodie bag!

We hope to see lots of you at the next very Foodie Event The North Norfolk Food and Drink Festival on the 2nd and 3rd of September which will take place in the spectacular setting of the Walled Garden at Holkham hall. The Festival will celebrate all local Norfolk products and host the very popular cooking theatre as well as plenty of activities to keep the children entertained! Come and see us for a delicious Cuban style Sarnie or a box of delicious Feed Street Style Food!

Happy Summer 🙂 x
